 Halda River: Halda is a river in southeastern Bangladesh. From the Batnatali hills of Chittagong Hill Tracts, it has reached Chittagong district through Fatikchari. It flows southwestwards and then southwards after passing through the Kotwali Police Station in Fatikchhari, Bibirhat, Nazirhat, Sattarghat, and other parts, Hathazari, Raozan, and Chittagong city. It has been joined by the river Karnaphuli near Kalurghat.Its total length is 81 kilometers, out of which 29 km is suitable for big boats throughout the year. It is the only tidal river in the world where Rui national fish release eggs and fertilized eggs are collected. There is no connection between the other rivers of Bangladesh like the Padma river, the Meghna river, and the Jamuna River, the "giant stock" of Rui National Fish is completely inaccessible.

  Naming: Salda, a hilly area of ​​Halda canal, is a hill village of Batnatali union of Manikchhari upazila. Halda is named from Saladah, a rhyme descended from the hill of Salad.There is another river in Bangladesh named Salda, which flows over Brahmanbaria district from Tripura state of India.

Tributaries: The tributaries of the two falling in the river Halda generally do not fall in the river level due to the suitability of the rivers. Most of the fishes, rhymes, canals or fountains But Manikchhari, Dhoorung and Sarda are quite spacious. The canals which have been formed from the eastern side of Haldar are derived from the hill hills of Chittagong Hill Tracts.The site of the canals coming from the west side is Sitakund hill. Halda river flows between the two hills, from north to south. The canals produced from the hills of the Chittagong Hill Tracts are Manikchhari, Dhurung, Telparai, Sorda, Kagatia and Domkhali Canal. The canals generated from the Sitakunda hill ranges include Ghajaria, Fatikchari, Hualalchari, Barmasia, Mandakini, Boalia and Burna Kopali canals.
