Spiritualism is a fundamental part of Islam. In the long journey of practicing spiritualism or Sufism, sheltering and imbibing the basic teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith, many ways emerged in the evolution of time.
The first elder and propagator of this tariqa, Gaushul Azam Hazrat Syed Ahmad Ullah (pbuh), after the name of Maijbhandari, his followed and propagated spiritual practice or tariqa became widely known as 'Maijbhandari Tariqa'. In the original description of this method, Shah Sufi Syed Delaur Hossein Maizva-ari (RA) said, "Mizbhandari is the origin of the ocean of quickness through the combination of the triple Belayati Dhara, Nabuati Dhara, i.e. Jaher Baten Talim Ershadi with Shariah, Tariqat, Haqiq and Marfat."
