Trade and commerce
The main source of income for Fatikchari is remittances sent by migrants from outside the country. Tea cultivation and rubber production are also major sources of income here. Major Agricultural Crops: Rice, potato, chilli, brinjal, tea and rubber. Major exports include tea and rubber. Among the 163 tea gardens of Bangladesh, 17 tea gardens are located in Fatikchari upazila. There are three rubber gardens in Fatikchari. The largest garden in Asia (Dantmara rubber garden) is located in Fatikchari. Its area is four and a half thousand acres.
